George Ellis is one of those guests who makes you rethink what you thought you understood. He co-authored The Large Scale Structure of Space-Time with Stephen Hawking in 1973: one of the foundational texts in general relativity. He trained under Dennis Sciama at Cambridge, the same doctoral advisor who trained both Hawking and Penrose. He won the Templeton Prize. He’s a Fellow of the Royal Society.
