Announcing the #CORE1 Contest

I’ve been working behind the scenes on this for a while and it’s an honor to tell you about this.

Today I’m launching the #CORE1 Contest (Competition for Outstanding Research Explanation).

The goal: encourage the creation of high‑quality video explanations on graduate‑level theoretical physics, foundations of AI, and philosophy.

Five winners will split $5,000 USD, which I’m funding myself. Watch the full announcement above, then head to curtjaimungal.com/core for the complete FAQ, rules, and submission form. The deadline is March 31, 2026.

There’s also a Discord for finding collaborators and discussing topics. If you have expertise in an advanced area and a passion for explaining it clearly, consider entering.

Either way, this means more intuitive “explainer”-type videos for you in the near future on thorny subjects you’ve always wished you could understand more. Feel free to leave comments below about topic requests and anything else.
